Phyllis passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo at the age of 85.

 Phyllis Bladow was born on July 10, 1924, the daughter of Otto and Ida (Medenwaldt) Bladow in Hankinson, ND. She grew up in this area and graduated from Hankinson High School. Phyllis received her RN degree at Mercy Hospital in Valley City, ND. Her last year of training was spent in Seattle, WA as a cadet nurse in the Army Reserves. After her graduation she returned and worked at St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge, MN. Phyllis was united in marriage to Vernon "Bud" Sedler in 1946. They made their home near Hankinson, ND on the family farm where they raised their four children - Barbara, Thomas, Bruce and Jeffery. In 1964 they moved to Cooperstown, ND where she worked at the Griggs County Community Hospital for 10 years. They moved to Fargo, ND in 1974 where they have lived since. Phyllis worked at Bethany Home in Fargo for over 20 years. She most recently had worked for Spectrum Home Health where she greatly enjoyed helping others. She was a lifelong active member of her church.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Vernon "Bud" Sedler of Fargo; her children, Barbara Bommersbach of Hankinson; Thomas (Marcy) Sedler of Fosston, MN; Bruce (Julie) Sedler of Binford, ND; and Jeffery Sedler of Cooperstown, ND ; her grandchildren - Debra (Troy) Popp, Becky (Michael) Small, Troy (Sonja) Bommersbach, Timothy (Sheri) Bommersbach, Ryan Sedler, Brett Sedler, Brady (Gwen) Sedler, Derek Sedler, Brandon Sedler, Steven Sedler, Brittany (David) Fiebiger, Kari (David) Runsvold, and Jeffery Sedler; and 18 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Norma Roth of Dell Rapids, SD; sister in law, Ruby Sedler of Hankinson; and several nieces and nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marlys Boelke; brothers in laws, Kenneth Roth, Dennis Boelke and Monroe Sedler; and her nephew, Roger Roth.
