Renell Suchor, age 43, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2009 at her home in Hillsboro with her family at her side after a long battle with cancer.
Renell was born in Garrison, ND on May 24, 1965 to Sherman and Cheryl Hagen. After Sherman?s death, Renell was adopted by Marvin Franklin in 1970 when her mother remarried. Renell graduated from North Shore High School in Makoti, ND in 1983. In 1987, she graduated from Minot State University with double majors in education of the hearing-impaired and elementary education. Renell taught hearing-impaired children in various schools for 7 years. After that, she worked at other jobs including as a letter carrier in Minot, ND and as a drivers license examiner in Fargo, ND. In 1989 Renell married Lavern Suchor at St. Edwin?s Catholic Church in Washburn, ND where she was teaching at the time. They had a fun and adventurous marriage by living in different cities and enjoyed exploring what each place had to offer. They were blessed with three beautiful children who were their mother?s pride and joy.
Renell is survived by her husband, Vern of Hillsboro; her children, Gary, LaRae, and Guy, all at home; her parents, Marvin and Cheryl Franklin of Ryder, ND; two sisters, Rhonda (Randy) Kingsley of Fargo and Marchell (Monte) Walker of Surrey, ND; one brother, Chad (Amy) Franklin of Devils Lake, ND; her mother-in-law, Betty Suchor of Towner, ND; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Renell was preceded in death by her father, Sherman Hagen; her father-in-law, John Suchor; her brother-in-law, Danny Pardon; and all of her grandparents.
VISITATION: 5-7 PM WEDNESDAY, March 11, 2009 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hillsboro, ND ? and also one hour prior to the service in the church on THURSDAY
PRAYER SERVICE: 7 PM WEDNESDAY in the church
FUNERAL MASS: 10:30 AM THURSDAY, March 12, 2009 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hillsboro, ND
BURIAL: St. Cecelia Catholic Cemetery in Towner, ND (in the spring)
