Our sympathy goes out to the family. For those who don’t know us we were Rick’s neighbors for 7 years. When we bought the house we were told he come with it and were glad to take that seriously. We both kind of feel the reason our house took so long to sell is we had a purpose to be there for Rick and that was now over. We all were like neighbors used to be helping each other out when the other needed a helping hand. We depended on him many times to look after the cats and we would help him out looking after his cat or snow blowing. He kept kind of different hours so many times if Dave was on a late night ambulance run he stopped in for coffee or a smoke with Rick, I know he enjoyed all the times he stopped in on him for this. Our girls too would stop in to see him especially Kristen, when she was younger she would just sit and talk to him for quite a while. He spoiled them rotten with candy! Hopefully our girls gave him a little bit of an idea of what it would have been like to be a grand parent. I think maybe a lot of people in the community didn’t know him because he was a bit bashful, and all I have to say on that is those who didn’t get to know him were missing out. He could tell some very interesting stories and had a sense of humor we related well to. We are so glad we got to know him and really do miss him. Dave & Barb

We were classmates at HHS in the Class of 1963. Sorry to hear about Rick. I haven’t seen him for many years, but hopefully we can keep him in our hearts with our fond memories of him. Our sympathies to the family.

Rick and my late husband were good friends, so I have many memories of Rick having coffee and talking and laughing with Art at our kitchen table. I also remember that he made the best rosettes. I tried and failed every year, so we looked forward to the box of rosettes Rick brought us at Christmas.

May the memories you have of good times shared with Ricky bring you comfort and may he rest in peace.
