Rick H. Brosowske, 61, passed away January 6, 2017 at Sanford Health Center in Fargo surrounded by his family. He was born December 10, 1955 in Fergus Falls; graduated from Fergus Falls High School and later attended Moorhead Tech where he earned his automotive technician degree and was employed at Quality Auto Body for the past decade. Rick met Lynnette Thompson from Wyndmere in 1979 and they were married July 21. Despite Rick’s terminal cancer diagnosis in 2006, he accepted that challenge with a fierce tenacity and lived every day to its fullest. Rick is survived by his wife; daughter Heather (Chris) Hames; son Justin (Cristy); mother Evelyn Brosowske; sisters Nancy Erickson and Kathy (Arnie) Raether; six grandchildren; four nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Howard Brosowske and grandson Jude Roy Brosowske. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 13 at Boulger Funeral Home from 5p.m. to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. The funeral will be the following day, 11 a.m. at Viking Lutheran Church: I29 Colfax exit, Go West on County Rd 4 for approximately 11.5 miles.

  2. Lynnette & family-know Rick is at peace & feeling no pain. He fought the cancer battle for years but in the end the fight was over & now he is with God in Heaven. He is thankful for the years he had with all of you . May his strength in Gods name give you all comfort during this difficult time. Love & prayers.

Although I did not know your loved one personally, I hope knowing that they are in our loving heavenly Father’s memory will bring your family comfort during this difficult time. Very soon now we can look forward to God’s promise at a Revelation 21:4: “… Death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore, the former thing gave passed away.”

  6. So sorry for your loss, I worked with Rick at Quality for a while a number of years ago. He was a great guy, always willing to help someone out. I know he’s up in heaven watching over things now. Praying for strength and healing for your family.
