Richard Haaland

richard haaland

Rick L. Haaland, Fargo, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013 in his home in Fargo, ND.

Rick was born in Heidelberg, Germany on July 16, 1966. He was a year old when we returned to the United States. He was confirmed at Olivet Lutheran Church in Fargo. He received his education in the Fargo school system.  He attended Pima Community College and received degrees in Hazardous Material Management, an Associate of Applied Science Environmental Technology degree, and Water/Wastewater Systems Technology degree.

Rick was last employed by Supervalu in the maintenance division. He was a union steward with Supervalu. He started his own business with F-M Tap Service in the immediate area. Rick worked 7 days a week doing both jobs just to get where he wanted to be in his life at this time.

Rick was a talented artist but would only share his drawings with his family. He loved to play his guitar and always wanted to learn more of the new tunes. He would try to show his dad how to get into the new generation music but never was able to accomplish that goal. He loved to play X Box with his brother and shop the latest trends with his sister. Rick and his mom were best friends and spent a lot of time talking together. Rick has two sons, Cole Bauer and Seth Haaland. Andrew Bauer was like a son to Rick also.

Rick is survived by his sons, Cole and Seth; his parents, Richard and Janice; his brother, Troy; and sister, Jodie (Kevin); and also numerous aunts and uncles.

Rick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lionel and Jeannette Sauvageau, and Milton and Aggie Haaland; his uncles, Dale Sauvageau and Elroy Haaland; and his aunt, Amy Pederson.
