Richard “Rick” Joseph McGeehan 57, of Fargo, ND passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 at Sanford Medical Center. Rick passed away due to complications involving a heart attack surrounded by his loving family. Rick was born in St. Paul, MN on February 23, 1962 to Thomas and Ellen (Williams) McGeehan. He was raised in Moorhead spending summers at the childhood family lake home on Island Lake. Rick attended Moorhead Senior High School and was active in both hockey and football. After high school he served in the US Army Reserve. Rick’s love of working with his hands led him to start his own construction company, specializing in concrete and all facets of construction. Rick is survived by his children, TJ McGeehan (Carissa) Hinesville GA, Amanda McGeehan, Columbus, OH, Stephanie Beck (Jack) Columbus, OH, former wife Cyndi McGeehan Columbus, OH, parents Ellen (Steve) Moorhead, MN, Sharon McGeehan Fargo, ND, siblings, Shawn Peraza (Ozzie) Kindred, ND, Michael McGeehan, Fargo, ND, Patrick McGeehan, Fargo, ND, Timothy McGeehan (Victoria) Scottsdale, AZ, Michael Abrahamson (Marjorie) Seattle, WA along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas McGeehan and his Grandparents. Rick’s greatest joys were spent fishing, time spent with friends and family, barbecuing and caring for his beloved dog Keiko. Rick will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to extend their deep gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Sanford Medical Center for their exceptional care of our dear Rick.

You made sure I always had a home cooked meal when I would visit. Needed to know about my kiddos and how they were doing. I am still in shock… Too many lost way too young. You are deeply missed Rick.   9. I am so sorry to hear of Rick passing! My mom (Erma) told me just today! My heart goes out to all of his family! Shawn, Mike, Pat, and Tim, I am so sad that you have lost your brother!
