Richard R. Moug, 85, Fargo passed away Friday, November 13 in ManorCare Health Services, Fargo. Richard was born on November 10, 1924 in Fargo, ND to John G. and Caroline Moug. Richard grew up in Fargo and graduated from Oak Grove High School. One week before graduation, Richard was drafted into the military and fought in World War II on the Pacific front in New Guinea, first as a glider trooper and second as a Heavy Machine Gun Operator. Richard was proud of his military service and was a life-long member of the American Legion and VFW. After his time in the military, Richard worked for Knight Printing for 30+ years until his retirement. On May 24, 2004 Richard married Rosemary Moe in Fargo, ND. Richard had many hobbies, but most of all he loved to hunt, fish and spend his time reading many Louis L’Amour books among others. Richard is survived by his wife; Rosemary Moe, Fargo, one nephew; John (Diane) Briggs, Fargo, nieces; Colleen (Jerry) Estenson, Sarles, ND, Carol (Lloyd) Stangeland, Audubon, MN, Carmen Claussen, Fargo, ND, step-children; Julie (Todd) Kristofferson, Park Rapids, MN, Michael Moe, Dilworth, MN, and several great nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Betty Brunelle, Fargo, ND, Kathryn Finch, Fargo, ND, Helen Briggs, Fargo, ND, and niece, Shirley Weddle, Champagne, IL. There will be a funeral service on Tuesday, November 17 at 11 in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service in the funeral home.
