Richard Nystrom

Richard Charles Nystrom (“Bud”), age 81, Minot, ND, formerly Fargo, ND, passed away on August 23, 2020. He was raised in the Fargo/Kindred ND, area by his mother, Vina Stenberg and Knute Stenberg. Bud graduated from Kindred High School in 1958. He served in the military after high school and later held various employment in the Fargo area. He retired from maintenance service with the Fargo Public School System. After a disabling accident in 2018, Bud spent several months at the Fargo V.A. Community Living Center. He moved to Minot, ND in November 2018 to be near family and resided at Edgewood Vista. He loved playing bingo, fixing lawn mowers, fishing, farm country, family gatherings, and telling stories. Bud was devoted to the care of his parents and their home for many years. He had a kind heart and was well liked wherever he lived. He will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include: sisters, LaVonne Appert, Eugene, OR, Susan (Jim) Richards, Springfield, OR, Sandy (Mark) Flagstad, Minot, ND and several nieces and nephews. A private graveside service was held at the Riverside Cemetery in Moorhead, MN. Arrangements entrusted to Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, Fargo.
