  2. Dear Betty and the rest of the family,

We are so sorry and sad to hear of the passing of my uncle Richard. He was a great and kind man. We really value and treasure the time we were able to spend with Richard and Betty, along with Wallace & IDella, Delores & James and all of my cousins, nieces & nephews at the family reunion at the lake house a couple years ago, prior my Mother Beatrice passing. The welcoming hospitality from the entire family and the rekindled relationships with aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members will never be forgotten and always be a treassured moment in our lives.

Our hearts and prayers are with the entire family at this most difficult time, knowing Richard is in a better place in God’s care now.

    God bless,

    Jerry & Cindy Mielke
    Spokane Washington

  3. We are sorry we are not able to be there to honor Richard. He was a wonderful uncle, kind and gentle as I saw him. Dave always enjoyed visiting with him as well. He will be missed by many, mostly you Aunt Betty. I wonder what he and Cindy might be talking about today. We love you all.

  4. My heart goes out to you Betty at this time of great loss. We know Richard is with his Savior but it’s a loss to us here on earth. I have great memories of your family coming to our ‘Roen farm’ and my mom, Aurora, spoke so highly of you. I remember Randy and Reggie batting crab apples with our wooden bat. 🙂 (We must not of had a softball available! 🙂 ) Fun memory. May the Lord give your family strength as you grieve the loss of your husband, dad, grandpa, etc. Praying for you all.

  5. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I am sorry we are so far away and cannot be with you as you were with us when we needed you for Mom and Dad.
    With love and sympathy,
    Chip and Carol

  6. Dear Aunt Betty & family –
Susan and I send our kindest thoughts and prayers to all of you today. Growing up, I have many fond memories of visiting your farm by Doran and watching Uncle Richard tend to the milk cows at night. Playing Monopoly with Ricky and Randy! And then later in life having a great time with all the cousins on a warm Sunday afternoon at your MN lake house. Uncle Richard will always be remembered as a hard worker who loved his family dearly. We trust that you all have many wonderful memories to cherish and that those memories will keep you strong.
