Rita Nelson

Rita Rose Nelson (Dickerson), age 85, passed away peacefully on August 28th 2018 due to complications of End Stage Dementia. She had resided at Eventide for the past two years. Rita is survived by her daughters Jocelyn Kent (Bill) from Fargo, and Shelly Hansen (Kerry) from Minneapolis. Son in law Larry Cossette. Grandchildren Nichole Cossette, Kelley Kent, Ryan Cossette, Kristopher Kent, Emma Hansen and Taylor Cossette, and 9 great grandchildren.Siblings Kathleen Nelson and Richard Dickerson. And a very special friend of the family, Cassie Hietala. She is preceded in death by her husband Merton, daughter Rebecca, brother Robert, and great grandchild Dreya. Rita was employed as a custodian at North Dakota State University for 21 years before she retired. She enjoyed her fellow employee’s and the interactions she experienced with many of the students there.
