Robert “Bob” F. Bodin, 71, Ulen, MN passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Essentia Health, Fargo. Bob was born June 12, 1948 in Duluth, MN to William and Beulah Bodin. He graduated from High School in Duluth, MN before enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corp, where he served from 1967-1972. He worked as a welder for many years in various locations, before moving to Moorhead, MN where he worked for NDSU. He married Vickie Brossart on May 13, 2017 at Ulen, MN. He was a die-hard Minnesota sports fan, especially the Minnesota Vikings fan. He enjoyed spending time at their lake place on Little Sugarbush where he was known as “Mayor Bob” and will be missed by many. Bob is survived by his wife, Vickie, Ulen, MN; children, Dave Heil, Fargo, ND, Mike Heil, Dilworth, MN, Stephanie Masse, Juno, AK, Robert Bodin, Twin Valley, MN, Billy (Rachael) Bodin, Glyndon, MN, Donald Brossart, Fargo, ND, Brian (Catrina) Brossart, CA, Mark (Toni) Brossart, Fargo, ND, Rodney (Kelli) Brossart, Spring Grove, IL, Amy (Nick) Brossart, Bismarck, ND; 20 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and 2 soon to be great-grandchildren and brother, Dick (Char) Bodin, Duluth, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, John David, grandson, Matthew Harris, two sisters and two brothers. Bob’s family asks that you wear your favorite sports team clothing to his Celebration of Life on Friday in memory of Bob.

  1. so very sorry to see that bob has passed away. he was such a nice kind person and I have many family memories of him when I was a kid .bob was my cousin.and our familys got together quite often in the 1950 .and it makes me sad that he has died. I wish I could come to the funeral .but its to far away. luv from marlene malzac sipila from cousin marlene

  2. Bob always be remembered for his love for his Vikings,the twins but most of all his family. He was always there for them especially his grandkids they were his pride and joy. Bob will be forever remembered for his great ability to listen and give great fatherly advice thanks for all the times I will cherish those talks! Fly high my friend!   3. Bob was a regular customer of ours at Fargo Liquidators. He always came in with a smile. So sorry for his family.

  4. Bob was one of our favorites customers at the North Moorhead Holiday. He was always happy to see us, as much as we were happy to see him. He helped me through a tough situation at work, with kind words and many years of advice. He was such a kind man. We will remember him always at Holiday.
