We are sorry to hear of Bob’s passing.
Mom and Dad so enjoyed their visits with
you and Bob. Jim always thought that your last name was a nickname for Bob —actually, Smillie is so appropriate. May he rest in peace.

  10. ypsilanti MichiganThough I didn’t see Bob very much over the years, the times spent there with Jean and Bob for visits were priceless. His humor was a lot like Earl Keena’s, father-in-law, playful and dead serious at the same time! What do you suppose he thought or said when he saw Jesus face to face…am I glad to see you! I love you both Jean and Bob and the family will be in my prayers as Deanna travels to Fargo tomorrow.
    God Bless you,
    love, David

  14. Cavalier ND
My life was sweeter with Uncle Bob! So many memories. He was so very wonderful to my kids and indulgent. I will never forget the night after a school concert when I was visiting with Jean and looked over at Bob and he was showing Anthony, Nicholas and Jaden his movie star foot. Not many men would take off their shoe and sock to do this. They had their little noses right down at his foot. They loved his sticks! I loved getting to eat his wife’s goodies and hearing the stories of Jean and Bobs youths. loved the farm, watching the house go down. All was special because he was part of it! Love you Uncle Bob!
