  1. Bob:

Will never forget some of the great times we had when we were kids living next to each other in Bottineau. Maybe we’ll have a chance to race our ‘Sears scooters’ again. Those were the days.

We’ll miss you but I know you’ve never felt better or been happier than you are right now. Here’s hoping I can
join you when the time comes. Rest in peace buddy.

  2. Sending prayers and condolences to Pat and your entire family. Whenever we were around Bob he was so kind and you could tell he loved his grandkids immensely. Love you Townsends.

    Love,
    Amanda and Jeremy Erickson

  3. Bob it was a pleasure knowing you the short time I did and I am very glad I got to see ya again here in Portland not too long ago and we had some good BBQ….

You are very missed all around my friend R.I.P.

  6. We are very sadden to learn of Bob’s passing and praying that The Lord’s strength and comfort sustain you. His smile and that twinkle Bob had in his eyes will be fondly remembered by us, having known Bob through his job at Robert Gibb & Sons. He was a dedicated and hard worker but also had a very gentle disposition. I remember the story he told me of the skunk that was trapped in the window well. Not wanting to harm the little critter, he relayed how he carefully attempted to place a board so that it could climb it’s way out safely only to pay Bob’s efforts with a odoriferous reward. He was chuckling the whole time he was sharing the event AND the little black with white striped stinker did crawl out with “no thanks” to Bob. I know Bob will be greatly missed and our hearts go out to you; so sorry for your loss. ✝️

  7. Although I hadn’t seen “Bobby” in years, I saw him at our last class reunion. He did indeed have a twinkling in his eyes, a warm and ready smile, and I remember his kindness, as well. We lived on the same street growing up, about a block from each other. My prayers are for peace and comfort in knowing God’s presence was with Bobby in the end.

    Blessings,

  8. I was so happy to talk to him recently on the phone. Remininsed for about an hour. Bob was a special and caring guy. I enjoyed the nice video. Rest In Peace! Beryl Mortenson

  9. “Let us always meet each other with a smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.”
    ― Mother Teresa

What I remember most about “Bobby” is and was his great smile. While watching and enjoying the wonderful video of Bob’s life, I see that he never lost that magnificent smile.

Growing up in small town America; Bottineau, ND, Bobby and I and many others our age, knew almost each and everybody and their families in the small community. We all went to school together from grade school to high school. I, as well as most in the class of ’65, can likely look back and remember each and everyone in our class. To this day it is still one of my favorite times when our class gets together for reunions. As I remember “Bobby” Suchan at those reunions, he always had that magnificent smile every time I saw and spoke with him.

Bob, “you will certainly be missed by many, but most of all your family”. May your family’s ‘hearts of sorrow’ be eased by the wonderful and loving memories of the magnificent and loving man that you were.

My thoughts, prayers and smiles are with you, the Suchan family, as you continue your journey with your “memories of love and smiles for Bob”.

  10. Thoughts and prayers! Thanks for sharing the video…It bought tears and many great memories for you. Hugs!

  11. So sad to hear of the death of “Bobby”. We lived next door and dated for 2 years. He was funny, kind and loving. My sincere sympathies to his family. Rest in peace.
