Rodney Halvorson

Rodney Halvorson, Fargo, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Sheyenne Crossing, West Fargo. Rodney Erwin Halvorson, the son of Arnt Cornelius and Lydia Louise (Schwantz) Halvorson, was born on November 17, 1939 in Bismarck, North Dakota. He graduated from Rolla High School, Rolla, ND in 1953. Rodney continued his education at St. Cloud Tech in St. Cloud, MN. Rodney E Halvorson and LaVerne A. Wade were married in Fargo. He served in the U.S. Army for 3 years and was stationed in Germany where he served as a heavy truck driver. Rodney then continued his career as a truck driver and worked as a trucker primarily in this region. He is survived by his wife, LaVerne. There will be a funeral service at Pontoppidan Lutheran Church, Fargo, at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Manda.
