Rodney “Butch” Maesse, 78, Fargo passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 in his home. Butch was born July 18, 1937 in Baker, MN to Ernest and Mabel (McCarl) Maesse. He was raised on a farm near Baker, MN and took great pride serving for 4 years in the United States Air Force. On January 11, 1969 he married Kay Quiggle at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead. Butch attended Hanson Auto Body School and went on to own Butch’s Auto Body shop in Baker, MN. Butch and Kay were blessed with two children, Glenn (Christy) Maesse of Lester Prairie, MN and Lynette (Jason Nordstrom) Lukes of Fargo, ND. Butch was further blessed with 4 grandchildren, Travis, Ashley, Donovan and Hope. He is also survived by his 2 sisters, Marlys Schenck and Gloria Schenck. Butch enjoyed painting pictures, working on his car and truck, attending his grandkids events and playing pass the Ace and Trivial Pursuit. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Donald, Kenneth and Wesley. Prayer Service: 7:00 P.M. Monday, August 3, 2015 at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo with visitation starting at 5:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Sts. Anne and Joachim Catholic Church, Fargo. Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery South, Fargo.
