Roger Rheault Roger J. Rheault, 80 of Fargo, died Monday, November 2, 2009 at Innovis Hospital, Fargo, ND. Roger was born on August 19, 1929 in St. Benedict, ND to Ovila and Lucinda (Savageau) Rheault. He attended school at St. Joseph’s Academy. Roger helped on the family farm until he was drafted into the Army in 1951. He served in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. He married Darlene Mae Delp in 1951 at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Fargo, while he was home on leave. Upon his discharge from the military, he came home to Wild Rice and helped on the farm until he went to work for the City of Fargo. Roger worked with the Fargo Street Department for 38 ½ years, retiring in 1991. Roger spent the next 18 years pursuing hobbies including hunting, gardening, playing cards, discussing politics, reading and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was the ultimate “family man”. Darlene died in 2000 and Roger married Angie (Symanietz) Duval on September 27, 2002 at Nativity Church in Fargo. Roger was a member of Nativity Church in Fargo, the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, DAV and was a life member of the VFW. Roger is survived by his children, Mary (Steve) Edner of Fargo, Darrel “Sonny” (Cheri) Rheault of Vergas, MN, Marlene Rheault of Fargo, Marlys Savageau of Fargo, Sandy (Gary) Nemcek of Bloomington, MN, Tim (Patti) Rheault of Fargo, Brian (Wendy) Rheault of Fargo, John (Jackie) Rheault of Fargo, Ann (Phil) Christlieb of Fargo; step-children, Allen (Kathy) Duval of Sabin, MN, Terry (Renae) Duval of Fargo, Lori Duval of Fargo; 12 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 12 step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Hazel (Ernest) Cossette, Leone Richard, Ella (Maurice) Richard, Florent (Irene) Rheault, Pam Blotsky and Ilene Laney. He was preceded in death by his wives, Darlene and Angeline; his parents, Ovila and Lucinda; sister, Theresa Thorson; brothers, Andrew and Cleo and grandson, Daniel Nemcek. Roger was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be dearly missed but will live on in our hearts forever! Visitation: Friday, November 6 from 5-7 pm at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo and one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Saturday. Prayer Service: Friday at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral Mass: Saturday, November 7 at 11:00 am at Church of the Nativity, Fargo. Interment: Holy Cross North Cemetery, Fargo. Arrangements entrusted to Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
