Roger Alan Thompson 62, Hillsboro, ND died on Saturday October 21, 2017 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND as a result of an accident. Roger was born on November 7, 1954 in Mayville, ND to Ralph and Cecil (Cosette) Thompson. He graduated from Arthur High School and then graduated from NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND. He married Ann Kanwischer in Hunter, ND on June 21, 1975, and they made their home in Blanchard, ND near the family farm where Roger farmed until 1991. He then began his career as a truck driver working for various companies and recently began working at Pro-Seed in Amenia. Roger enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, going for motorcycle rides, and spending time with family and friends. Roger is survived by his sons Jared (Kelsey) Thompson of Thompson, ND and Joshua Thompson of Glyndon, MN; his grandchildren Delaney and Rylan (Jared), Natalie and Alexis (Josh); his brother Leroy Thompson of Washington State; several nieces and nephews and his close friend Patty Flores. He is preceded in death by his wife Ann, his parents Ralph and Cecil; sisters Kathy Thompson and Charlene Christianson and his brother Leonard Thompson. Visitation will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hillsboro, ND beginning at 5:30 PM on Friday, October 27, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. The funeral mass will take place 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 28 at the church, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will take place at the Hunter Cemetery in Hunter, ND. Arrangements entrusted to Wildemann-Boulger Funeral Home of Hillsboro, ND.
