Ronald Lee Erfle, 66, Fargo, ND passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 at Sanford Health in Fargo with his three sons by his side. He was born on May 24, 1951 to Leao and Martha (Grossman) Erfle in Harvey, ND. Ron grew up in Fargo and graduated from Fargo South High School in 1969. Following graduation, Ron enlisted in the United States Air Force and served until 1976 when he was honorably discharged from active duty. He was in the Reserves for many years after that. Ron made his home in Louisiana where he served many years as a police officer. Ron was united in marriage to Sue Paulsrud, one son, Jason, was born from this union. In 1983, Ron married Julienne Guidry, and they had two sons, Jacob and Jeremiah. In 2001, he returned home to Fargo to be closer to his family. Ron enjoyed playing golf and loved spending time with his family. He is survived by mother, Martha; sons, Jason (Alisha), Jacob (Nicole), and Jeremiah (Courtney) Erfle; siblings, Leao (Gayle) Erfle; Vernice (Rick) Helgeson; Liz (Paul) Erdmann; Bonnie (Dan) Evert; grandchildren, Dakota, Blaise and Gunner, and Madelynn; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Leao. There will be a visitation from 1-2:00 PM with a funeral service following at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, Fargo. Interment Holy Cross North Cemetery in Fargo.

  1. I’m very sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. I heard he wasn’t in the best health but it still is hard on all who loved him. There was many years as u know that I didn’t make many trips out to Fargo but when I did and Ron was there he always took time just to talk. I enjoyed talking with him and he will be missed. Hugs of Love and prayers sent to all. Very sorry for your loss.

    I am sorry to here of Ron’s passing, the few times I got to spend with him, he just made me laugh. Funny and very kind are how I will remember him. I wish Ron peace and I wish you all love and strength in this sad time.

  6. So sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. We were in basic training together as well as SP School. I’ve run into him a few times at the VA here in Fargo. He sure enjoyed the Air Force, such a lifer he was, so gun ho. Should of been a Recruitment Poster. May he rest in peace.

  9. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ron’s family. We are volunteers at the Bethany coffee shop, where Ron was one of our “regulars”. As a result, we came to know him and always had some nice conversations with him. All of us at the coffee shop will miss seeing him. Please accept our condolences.
