Rosalie Marie Hongerholt, 63, Fargo, ND passed away on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Sanford Palliative Care in Fargo.  She was born on January 13, 1950 in La Crosse, WI to Alvin and Luella Bakke.  She grew up near Lanesboro, MN where she graduated high school.  On November 20, 1971, she married Henry Hongerholt Jr.  Rosalie worked several jobs over the years.  She worked at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN from 1967-1974.  In 1975, Henry and Rosalie moved to Fargo to raise their family.

Rosalie had many hobbies.  She loved playing games, whether it be softball, shooting pool, bowling, or playing card and dice games.  She also enjoyed going to Detroit Lakes, MN and camping.  Mostly, she loved spending time with her family and friends.  Her caring nature and zest for life will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Jr.; children, Nicole (Jason Restemayer) Hongerholt, Brandon (Amanda) Hongerholt, Kristina Hongerholt, Henry “Tate” (Jami Johnson) Hongerholt III; grandchildren, Ty, Skyler, Aydenne, Damian, Nathan, Alyssa, and Gracie; sister, Lavonne (Charles) McCabe; sister-in-law, Kathy Bakke; and many other relatives and friends.   

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles “Buddy” Bakke.

There will be a memorial service at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fargo, with a visitation one hour prior.  Burial in Hongerholt Cemetery, Peterson, MN.

    Jerry and I would like to extend our sincere sympathy to the entire family of Rosalie. Jerry and I met Rosalie and Junior through Keith and Charlene Eide. We had so many great times with them when they would come to Lanesboro. Rosalie was a woman filled with so many laughs and was a pleasure to be around. Even though we did not see Rosalie very often, she will be missed when Junior comes to visit family and friends in Lanesboro.

    A great memory:
    I had so much fun when we went camping with all of you in Pelican Rapids and stayed in the cabins. Rosalie did such a great job setting up that vacation.
