Ruby Herseth

Ruby Aleen Herseth, 87, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2012 at the Bethany Retirement Living Center in Fargo. She was born in Bowesmont, ND on October 19, 1925 to George and Ida Erickson. She lived and worked in Drayton, ND until moving to Fargo in 2007. On April 9, 1953 she married Vincent Herseth in Drayton. There, they owned a hotel and motel. Ruby was very social and enjoyed bowling, playing cards, visiting, and never missed a Twins game.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Vincent; her daughter, Ida Mae “Skip” Van Tassel, and her son-in-law, Eugene Duciaume.
She is survived by her daughter, Earlise Duciaume, Fargo; her sister, Delores (David) Peterson; her brother, Chuck (Myrt) Erickson; her grandsons, Sheldon (Debbie) Duciaume, Fargo, Shaun (Candi Rupprecht) Duciaume, Fargo, Tom (Lisa) Van Tassel, Minneapolis, MN; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandsons; and many other relatives and friends.

Roseau, Mn My sincere sympathy goes to the family of Ruby . Ruby is my Great Aunt. I didn’t know her very well . But as I was a younger girl when I would Spend the summers with my grandparent’s I would clean motel rooms for her sometimes . And so it was then that I got to know Ruby and Vincent. My Grandparents were Carl and Alvina Herseth . My dad is Charles Herseth . May Ruby rest in peace in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God Bless all her family in this difficult time.
