Russel E. Pederson Fargo, North Dakota Russel passed away on Monday, March 17, 2008 at Manorcare Health Services in Fargo at the age of 74. Russel was born on April 3, 1933 in Hannaford, ND, the son of Sylvester and Gladys (Skarlaken) Pederson. He grew up in this area and received his education. Russel proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1952 until his discharge in 1956. After his service he returned to the family farm before moving to Fergus Falls, MN where he worked for Cooper Office Supply and later Montgomery Wards. He later transferred to Wahpeton, ND store. In Wahpeton he met his future wife, Marie Grawe. Russel and Marie were united in marriage on November 4, 1969 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Wahpeton. They transferred to Boulder, CO and later to California where he worked for Builder?s Emporium Home Improvement Center. He managed the store for 28 years retiring in 1994. Russel and Marie moved to Fargo in 1997 and he worked as an assistant manager for Mac?s Hardware in Fargo. He was a lifetime member of the VFW. Russel is survived by his loving wife, Marie of Fargo; his children, Steven Pederson of San Diego, CA; Debra Pederson of Farmersville, CA; Ardell (Barbara) Grawe of Breckenridge, MN; and Elroy (Colleen) Grawe of Galliton, MO; and his very special grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings, Richard (Maxine) Pederson of Cottage Grove, MN; Virginia (Richard) Henke of Fargo; and Gene (Ellen) Pederson of Bismarck, ND. Russel was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Gerald Pederson; and his son, Ronald Grawe. MEMORIAL SERVICE: 10:00 AM Friday, March 21, 2008 at First Lutheran Church in Fargo, 619 Broadway N, Fargo.
