Ruth Ann Densinger Thomas, age 97, of Fargo, ND passed away on July 27, 2019 at Eventide Nursing Home of Moorhead, MN after a short Hospice stay there. Ruth Ann was born on June 25, 1922 in a rural home near Leonard, ND to Peter and Emma (Heller) Wiebusch. Ruth attended country schools and graduated from 8th grade which was a normal school term in those days. Ruth Ann was married to George H. Densinger in 1943 at Ada, MN with sisters Pearl and Leora as attendants. After the death of George H. Densinger in June, 1971 Ruth Ann married Louie Thomas in 1975 and later divorced. Ruth Ann worked for a short time during World War II making parachutes for the military effort. She also worked at several motels/hotels in the laundry area as she really enjoyed folding towels and sheets. She also did some childcare work at various times. Ruth Ann was a member of Nativity Catholic Church in Fargo until it was too hard on her health to attend Mass regularly so then Sr. Sharon would come to visit her at home which Ruth really enjoyed. Ruth really enjoyed tending to her many house plants especially the African Violets she nurtured to full colorful blooms which she said made her happy. In her younger years she liked to do a little gambling for fun and enjoyed making an annual trip to Deadwood, SD with her sons Joseph, Thomas and George. Ruth was always excited to go on a trip if invited as she never drove a car herself. Survivors include her daughter, JoAnn; and son, George Densinger, Jr.; grandchild, David (Cati) Brock and great-grandchildren, Kyle Brock and Emily Brock. Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Emma Wiebusch; sons, Thomas H. Densinger and Joseph A. Densinger; brothers, Earl Wiebusch and Irvin Wiebusch; sisters, Leora (Peter) Roehrich, Pearl (Louis) Olslund, Laura (Orville) Pederson, Esther (Paul) Vincent and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on July 31, 2019 at 10:00 am at Boulger Funeral Home Chapel at Fargo, ND with visitation from 9:00 am to 10:00 am before the memorial service.
