Scott Evanson, 32, was released from his pain and taken Home to his Father on June 14, 2004, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Scott died at his home surrounded by his wife and family. Scott David Evanson was born October 14, 1971, in Mayville, ND, where he lived and attended school until 1980 when the family moved to Williston, ND. He graduated from Williston High School in 1990. Scott attended Bottineau College and later moved to Fargo where he was employed by Fargo Rent-All until he became disabled from his cancer. On August 7, 1999, Scott was united in marriage to Jodi Reiersgard, whom Scott referred to as his ?Angel?. Scott will be remembered for his strength and courage, his wit, his love for music, and his love for Jodi and his family. Scott is survived by his loving wife Jodi and unborn sons Silas and Nicholas; his mother, Mary Kay Odegard and her husband Richard, Williston; his father, James Evanson and his wife Eileen, Mayville; his sisters, Laurie (Pete) Furuseth, Williston, Melanie (Clarence) Houle, Park Rapids, MN, and Carla (Mike) McCall, Wahpeton, ND; 12 very special nieces and nephews; one great nephew and one great niece. He is also survived by many special friends, aunt, uncles, and cousins. Scott was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Pat (Meryl) Hunter, and paternal grandparents, Olavis and Inga Evanson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in First Presbyterian Church in Fargo. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday in the Jenny Roberts Room at the church, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held Friday in the church one hour prior to services.
