Sheryal passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, at the age of 75. Sheryal Faith Poehls was born on October 17, 1945, the daughter of Clifford and Mildred (Schmidt) Poehls in Valley City, ND. She grew up in Page and graduated from Valley City State University. Sheryal taught school in Lisbon, ND, Morris, MN and later in Page, ND. Sheryal was united in marriage to Arlo James Mittleider on July 31, 1971 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Page. She had so much love to give she became a daycare provider and foster care parent. She fostered many children with her husband and mother by her side. She cared for her mother for many years. Throughout the years she loved gardening, reading, traveling to historical locations, baking, crosswords and cooking. She enjoyed her collections of tea pots and cookbooks. “When Sheryal cooked everyone had a lot to eat.” She was known for her great sense of humor and looked forward to text memes and photos of her grandkids from her children. Sheryal is survived by her loving husband, Arlo James Mittleider of Page; her children – John (Olubusola) Mittleider, Christina (Aaron) Tillman, and Jez Mittleider; her beloved grandchildren – Tabitha, Elijah, and Eliana; her brother, Marle (Lisa) Poehls; her sisters – DaLene (Jack) Van Eaton and Rita (Gary) Molldrem; and her honorary brother, Eddie (Diane) Poehls. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family prefers memorials be directed to World Vision, Food for the Poor, and Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.   1. So very sorry for the loss of your wife, mom, grandma, sisterand aunt. Sheryal had a big heart and loved her family. She had such a great sense of humor and her laughter was infectious!
