Shirley Fugere

Shirley J. Fugere, 81 Fargo, ND died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009 in Innovis Health of Fargo. Shirley J. Clemenson was born to Samuel and Esther (Danielson) Clemenson in Fargo, North Dakota on January 3, 1928. She grew up in Fargo and attended schools here. Shirley Clemenson and Francis (Fritz) Fugere were married at St. Anthony Of Padua Catholic Church, Fargo on May 19, 1945. They made their home in Fargo and raised their family here. Shirley was a member of Nativity Catholic Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She loved to watch the Twin, play cards with her family and friends, and travel. She enjoyed spending the Winters in Texas. She is survived by five children, Gary (Virg) Fugere, West Fargo, Joyce (Adrian) Flicek, Audubon, MN, Rick (Cathy) Fugere, Coon Rapids, MN, Susan (Jeff) Shearer, Fargo, and Todd Fugere, Fargo; 14 grandchildren; 24 Great Grandchildren; 1 brother, Alerd (Mae) Clemenson, Fargo, 2 sisters, Doris Armistead, Fargo and Clair Todahl, Owatonna, MN. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Fritz (Francis) , who died in 1998, her parents, and her sisters, Evelyn Peterson and Marion Ulness. Funeral Service: The funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, in Nativity Catholic Church, Fargo, ND. Prayer Service: The prayer service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. Visitation: The visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 on Monday at the funeral home and one hour before the funeral in the church. Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery North, Fargo, ND.
