Shirley M. Zurn, 76 of Fargo, ND passed away on December, 27, 2017 at Eventide Nursing Home in Fargo, under the care of Hospice.

Shirley was born to Edna Kraft on January 5, 1941 in Fargo, ND. She graduated High School from Hastings, ND with the class of 1959. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Zurn on October 1, 1985 for 31 years. Shirley was employed by American Linen from 1959 to 1966 and also the VA Hospital in Fargo where she retired in January 1997 after 31 years of employment. Shirley enjoyed playing bingo, pinochle and all types of family functions.

She is survived by her step children, Ed (Pam), Clara City, MN, Kim (Travis) Taxdahl, Fargo, Brad (Melissa) Cottage Grove, MN, and Allen Anderson, Fargo, seven grandchildren, Nathan and Madison Zurn, Joshua and Jacob Friese, Tyler, Mitch and McKay Zurn and several nieces and nephews, siblings, Burnell Twidt, Mandan, ND, Leroy Twidt, Valley City, ND, Elaine Englin, Jamestown, ND, Sharon (Ed) Pederson, West Fargo, ND, Linda Twidt, Fort Orchard, WA.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ken Zurn, parents, Edna Kraft and step dad, Jonnie Twidt, George Pfaff and a niece and nephew. Family requests all gifts go toward Hospice of the Red River Valley.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 13th at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center Fargo.

    Shirley is my aunt. I have spent many afternoons at the nursing home visiting and watching metv with her. She loved those older shows. I will miss that and eating chocolate chip cookies together. Rest In Peace aunt Shirley.

    I have many wonderful memories growing up with my big sister.She always took good care of me and gave lots of love. Shirley loved working in her yard and had beautiful flowers and lots of them. Tell we meet again I will miss you.
