  1. I knew my aunt to be a very kind person. I was sharing with my dad, her only sibling, that I have only fond memories of my aunt and she is the one person that I can say that about. She graciously shared her art with me thru paintings and cards. When I was a child it was an adventure to visit her at the convent. I’m so glad my children were able to attend her jubilee in 1995. It was reassuring to know she kept my family and me in her prayers. Truly the world is a little less sweet today but the gates of heaven have been opened and she has heard, “Well done my good and faithful servant.”

  2. I would like to give my condolences to the Sisters and the Malone Family on the death of Sister Justina I met Sister Justina in 2014 ,we had a nice two day visit in Fargo and she taught us how to do a family tree.My Mom is a Bechtel and is a first cousin to Sister Justina. I was saddened by the news. Our thoughts and prayers are with you . TOM THOMPSON

  4. To the family of Sister Justina,
We were saddened to learn of Sister’s passing. She has been our mother, Eileen Nelson’s roommate, and apparently related to us as well. She often mentioned going to visit our Grandmother, Kathryn Donovan, in the big, white house in Langdon, ND. She was a sweet person and will be missed. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to you, her family.

    Sincerely,
    Eileen, Tom, & Kathy Nelson

  5. Sister Justina taught me in a sewing course at Shanley High School in 1965-1966. I always remember her for the skills she taught me and her patience! She was a memorable woman and God truly worked through her. I often wondered about her as life took me miles away from Fargo. I am happy that the Lord granted her a long life so she could touch so many lives.

  6. Sister Justina was an excellent teacher and I was lucky to be one of her students at St. James Academy in New Rockford, ND. My condolences to her family and friends.

  7. Sister Justina was a distant cousin of mine. In the 1980s she came up to Canada to discover her Lynch and Burke roots. She stayed with my Uncle and Aunt for some time for her visit. I still have her genealogical research. She was very thorough and accurate in those pre-internet days. I always thought I should get in touch with her.
