Sonja R. Partlow, age 63, Fargo, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2005, in her home. Sonja Rae Heaton was born May 1, 1942, in Red Oak, IA, to Harold and Viola (Hendrickson) Heaton of Corning, IA. She grew up in Corning but later moved with her family to Omaha, NE. She graduated from South High School in Omaha in 1960. She graduated from Omaha University (University of Nebraska - Omaha) in 1964. Sonja then went to work for Camp Fire in Omaha. She moved to Fargo in 1969 and became Executive Director of Camp Fire until 1983. She was united in marriage to Donald L. Partlow on October 8, 1982, in Moorhead, MN. She managed Royal Liquors in Fargo for several years, retiring in 2004. Mr. Partlow passed away in February 2003. Sonja was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority and Quota Club, International. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially birds, gardening and fishing. She was also an avid reader. She is survived by her sister, Beverly (George) Craft of Papillion, NE; two stepchildren, Leslie (Shane) Rohrich of Fargo, and Carol (Matt) Souder of Frederick, MD; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one niece and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Calvary United Methodist Church in Fargo. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-7 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. Burial will be in Carrington, ND, Cemetery at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
