Stanley S. Klimsky, 86, Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at Villa Maria, Fargo Stanley was born September 1, 1920 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Kzimierz and Rozalia (Juszkiewicz) Klimczewski. He grew up and attended school there. Stanley worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps. He served in the Army during WWII from August 23, 1940 until his discharge on October 1, 1945. Stanley served with the 26th Infantry Regiment and fought in Algeria, French Morocco and Tunisia. He was captured and held as a prisoner of war for two years and three months. After his discharge he worked as a ranch hand in Montana for many years and then worked and traveled with carnivals until he retired. He eventually settled in Fargo in 1999 and was a resident of the High Rise from 2003 until 2006. Stanley was an avid reader, and enjoyed WWII and Louis L?Amour books. There are no known survivors. Funeral Service: Thursday, May 10th at 10:00 a.m. in Boulger Funeral Home. Burial: North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND with Military Honors.
