Steven Max Hillsboro, North Dakota The Funeral Service for Steven Max will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, October 23, 2003, at Our Savior?s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 - 7 PM at Wildeman Funeral Home in Hillsboro with a prayer service at 7PM. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the funeral in the church on Thursday. Burial will be held 3 PM Thursday at the Bureau Cemetery near Foxhome, Minnesota. Steve died on Sunday, October 19, 2003, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Grandin, North Dakota, at the age of 42. Steve was born on December 20, 1960, the son of Kermit and Rosemary (Baltus) Max, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. He grew up in this area and attended country school, prior to attending Fargo South High in Fargo, North Dakota. After his education, Steve lived in Owatonna, Minnesota, and in Lisbon, North Dakota prior to moving to Bottineau, North Dakota. In Bottineau, he attended North Dakota State University, graduating with honors in 1994, with a degree in Wildlife Management. Steve lived in Fargo prior to moving to Hillsboro where he most recently worked for Cenex Harvest States in Grandin. Steve proudly served his country in the United States National Guard for 14 years. Steve is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Max (age 13) of Stanley, North Dakota; his mother, Rosemary (Percy Boesen) Baker of Rothsay, Minnesota; fianc?, Barb Riemer of Hillsboro; grandmother, Rose Baltus of Grand Rapids, Minnesota; brother and sisters, Debra (Richard) Johnson of Hillsboro; Vicki (Darryl) Platt of Wahpeton, North Dakota; Julie (Mike Weninger) Max of Fargo; Kristi Max of Wahpeton; John Max of Fergus Falls; Sherry (Jason) Wika of Grandin; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and special friends. He is also survived by one great niece. Steve was preceded in death his father, Kermit E. Max who passed away in 1981; 2 infant brothers; an infant sister; and an infant nephew.
