Steven C. Olson, 59 of Prairie Rose, ND, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2009 at his home. Steve was born in Fargo to Curtis and LaVerne Olson of Ft. Ransom, ND. He graduated from Ft. Ransom School in 1968 and attended State School of Science majoring in HVAC. He was then drafted to the Army and served in Vietnam. In 1972 he started at Leidholt Cooling and Heating in Pierre, SD. On March 17, 1973 he married Dee Ugland and they moved to Fargo in 1974 where he has worked with Local 300 and just taken retirement from Peterson Mechanical in March of 2009 after 26 years of employment. Steve has been a member of St. John Lutheran Church since 1974 and has been their main boiler man since joining. He was baptized on November 16, 1964 at Standing Rock Lutheran Church in Ft. Ransom, ND. He was a talented, hard working, honest man of integrity whom everyone respected. His passion in life was first and foremost his family. His hobbies included restoring cars and has been working the past 5 years on a 1939 Ford Coupe. Not many can name every Street Rod make, model and year but he has taught us all. He was looking forward to building his retirement in Wickenburg, Arizona next spring. Steven is survived by his wife, Dee of Prairie Rose, ND; son, Kip (Deb) of Minneapolis, MN and twins, Cole and Chance Fahey; daughter, Kandyce (Brent) Blumhagen of Fargo; parents, Curtis and LaVerne Olson of Fargo; brother, Bradley (Vickie) Olson of Ft. Ransom; 6 nieces; 10 nephews and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and sisters-in-law, Barbara Hines of Watertown, SD and Katherine Birdsall of Los Banos, CA. Visitation: Friday, November 20 from 4-7 pm at St. John Lutheran Church, Fargo and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Prayer Service: Friday at 7:00 pm at the church. Funeral Service: Saturday, November 21 at 2:00 pm at St. John Lutheran Church, Fargo. Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo. Arrangements entrusted to Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
