Susan Ranzenberger

Susan passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Aneta Parkview Nursing Home in Aneta, ND, at the age of 72, surrounded by her loving family. Susan was born on November 19, 1943, the daughter of Leonard and Rose (Anderson) Lawrence in Lisbon, ND. She grew up in this area and attended school. In 1957 Susan moved with her family to Fargo where she continued her education, graduating from Shanley High School. She furthered her education at the Wahpeton School of Nursing completing her LPN training. Susan was united in marriage to Burdell Ranzenberger on November 28, 1964. Together they made their home in Fargo and raised their family. For many years Susan worked at St. John’s Hospital in Fargo and later in admitting at St. Luke’s Hospital. She also volunteered for nearly 10 years at the Dakota Boy’s Ranch in Fargo. Susan is survived by her husband, Burdell of West Fargo; her son, Gerald (Jodie) Ranzenberger of West Fargo; her daughter, Patricia (Moe) Smith of Oregon, OH; her grandchildren, Aaron (Jenn) Ranzenberger and Breanna Odle; and her great-grandchildren, Jaylin, Arianna, and Tarryn. Also surviving are her sisters, Marilyn Darling and Rose Winkler; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Leonora Week. FUNERAL SERVICE: 4 PM Monday, May 16, 2016 at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo VISITATION: 2-4 PM Sunday at Boulger Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the service on Monday BURIAL: Holy Cross North Cemetery in Fargo
