Sylvia Lee Dickinson passed away at Bethany Nursing Home in Fargo on January 19th. She was born to Orin and (Olive) Bernice Papke on June 18th, 1933 in Minneapolis, MN. After graduating from high school, she attended and graduated from  McFail School of Music, and became a piano teacher.

In 1956 she married Gary W. Dickinson. They had four children, and moved to the F-M area in 1969, where she continued to teach piano. She filled our home with beautiful music! She also was a talented seamstress, and stitched beautiful quilts.

She is survived by her children Ed Dickinson (Despina, 19xx-20xx) Wylie TX,  Brad (LeDell) Dickinson, Maple Plain MN, Pam Barrs (Bryan 1964-2013) Fargo ND, and Vanessa Sams (Jack 1954-2010) Fargo, ND, 14 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary (1931-1986).

    Amanda and I are CNA’s at Bethany and we cared for Sylvia while she was there. Such a sweet woman, We love all of our residents but she is one of our favorites! She will be truly missed by so many and had made a huge impact on so many lives! We love you Sylvia from your girls on Cedar! Also our sincerest sympathy to your family! You will never be forgotten! ;
