Tammy Jo (Tarvestad) Hovet – West Fargo, North Dakota

Tammy passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Sanford Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Fargo, at the age of 52.

Tammy Jo Tarvestad was born on February 2, 1964 in Fargo, ND. She was the daughter of Sharry Madsen and pops, Denny, and father, James Tarvestad. She moved with her family at an early age to California where they lived until returning to Fargo where she completed her education, graduating from Fargo South High School in 1982.

Tammy was united in marriage to Rodney Hovet on September 15, 1990. They have made their home in the Fargo/West Fargo area since that time. Throughout the years, Tammy loved spending her days working with crafts, spending time with her family – especially her cousins, and loved pampering her beloved puppies over the years. Tammy had a very special bond with her cousins and cherished her “cousins” days.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Rodney of Fargo; her mother and pops, Sharry and Denny Madsen of Star Lake, MN; and her father, James Tarvestad of Hunter, ND. Also surviving are her cousins, Kim Stromberg, William Clark, Kelly Anderson and Joe Farrell; and her very best friend, Deb.

  3. Aunt Carol (Tarvestad) Johnson, Idaho says:

It took long patience to care for her the way you did, and yet, no matter how hard things got, you never seemed to lose your faith, your optimism or even your sense of humor. Take comfort in knowing that Tammy would be so grateful for all you did, and so proud of you for the strength and courage you have showed. Tammy is now in Gods loving hands and smiling down upon you. Take comfort in knowing that she is now pain free and running with her pets in heaven, seeing her Aunt Judy, her grandparents and great grandparents and talking up a storm. Today, all is good.
