Obituary

Terrance Sauvageau passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo surrounded by his family.

Terrance Sauvageau was born April 22, 1934 to George and Marie (Joyal) Sauvageau. He was born near Wild Rice, North Dakota and lived on the family farm. He attended St. Joseph’s Academy at Wild Rice. Terry enlisted April 5, 1955 into the U.S. Army, he was trained as a Tank Mechanic and stationed in Germany for two years. In 1957, Terry returned home to work on the family farm.

When the family decided to stop farming, he became employed by Crystal Sugar in Moorhead, MN. Terry and Char met while working together at Crystal Sugar and were married in June of 1982.

Terry adored his grandchildren, all things farming and had a passion for horses. He enjoyed western history, particularly North Dakota history. Terry’s green thumb was well known and he continued to grow tomatoes and cucumbers on his balcony when he moved to an apartment in town.

Terry is survived by his son Scott Davidson, daughter-in-law Shawna Davidson, sister Sharon Fritz, brother Charles (Marion) Sauvageau, 7 grandchildren; Melissa Shigematsu, Syreeta Shigetmatsu, Megan Davidson, Alex Davidson, Kylee Davidson, Amber Davidson, Kristopher Warnke, many nieces and nephews and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marie Sauvageau, sister Patricia Desotel and his cherished wife, Char.

Thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff of Sanford Hospital and Sanford Dialysis for their care, compassion and concern.

Visitation: 5-7:00 P.M. Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.

Funeral Mass: 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 21, 2015 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Wild Rice.

    Chuck and Marian, I am so sorry to hear about this. Want you to know I think of you two often and was so happy to see Marian this summer. Chuck, you sure look like your brother.

    Family of Terry “we are all sorry for your lose, But Look at it this way Terry and Patsy are up there talking about family like they have done many afternoons at patsy’s kitchen table. LOVE JERRY

    To all of uncle Terry’s family. Sorry for your loss. I was Uncle Terry’s first nephew. I remember hanging with him at the farm all the time. He was kind and very caring uncle to all us kids a great man. But I do know he is now with grandpa,grandma,and mom(his loving sister), and his loving wife (Char). R.I.P. uncle terry
