Terry Lorenzen was born on May 23, 1937 at home in Pipestone County to Dick and Clara VanderWal. She graduated from Pipestone High School in 1955. She married Melvin Lorenzen on May 11, 1956 at the Christian Reformed Church in Pipestone. Mel and Terry moved from Pipestone to Riverside, CA in 1960. They moved back to the Pipestone area in 1964. In 1972 they moved to Marshall, MN where Mel took a job with Schwan?s. In 1977 they settled in Hillsboro. Her death came on Friday, April 20, 2007 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo. Terry was known and loved by many as ?grandma Terry?. She was an avid reader and loved spending time gardening.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband and three children, Chad Lorenzen and friend Karen Grothmann of Fargo, ND; Brad Lorenzen and wife Caroll of Creston, IA; and Darcelle Sailer and husband Scott of Fargo, ND; her seven grandchildren; and her three great grandchildren. Terry is also survived by her brother, Fred and wife Henrietta VanderWal of Pipestone; her sister, Dorothy Pap of Riverside, CA; her sister Alice Burmeister and husband Darvin of Jasper, MN; her sister Betty Green and husband Bernie of Golden, CO; her brother Richard and wife Evette VanderWal of Nebraska City, NE; her brother, Clifford and wife Betty VanderWal of Lakewood, CA; and her sister, Jane VanderWal of Edina, MN.

Her brothers, Gerrit and Martin VanderWal and one sister, Della Stromberg, preceded Terry in death.

VISITATION: 5-7 PM Sunday at Wildeman Funeral Home in Hillsboro ? and also one hour prior to the funeral in the church on Monday

FUNERAL:11 AM Monday at the Hillsboro United Parish UCC-UMC

BURIAL: 2 PM Tuesday at the Trosky Cemetery in Trosky, MN
