Thomas Tracy

Thomas P. Tracy, age 63, Fargo, died peacefully in his home on Tuesday, February 17, 2004. Tom was born to Edward and Josephine (Opheim) Tracy on March 6, 1940, in Perley, MN. He grew up and attended school there, graduating from Hendrum High School in 1959. He graduated from the auto mechanics program at Thief River Technical College in 1961. Tom was united in marriage to Louise Schmidt in Ada, MN, on October 2, 1965. They made their home in Fargo. Tom worked for several car dealerships in the area - Mac Johnson in Perley, Al Olich in Borup, MN, and for Tom Muscatell, Jay Davis, Ralph Thomas, and Tim Corwin in the Fargo/Moorhead area. He retired in 1988 due to his health. Tom enjoyed working with any vehicle that didn?t run quite right. He was a member of Valley Vintage Car Club and looked forward to any car show or outing the club took part in. He is survived by his wife, Louise of Fargo; one daughter, Theresa of Fort Lauderdale, FL; one son, Mike (Jodi) of Wolverton, MN; and four granddaughters, Allexis, Morgan, Elise, and Neve Tracy. He is also survived by his sister, Ruth Bakko of Fargo; three brothers, Dorrance ?Kim? (Yvonne) of Page, AZ, Henry ?Hank? (Michelle) of Palmdale, CA, and John ?Jack? (Jan) of Perley; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral mass will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Church of the Nativity, Fargo. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Fargo.
