Tyson was 24 and born and raised in Fargo, ND He attended Fargo South High School and received his GED from Woodrow Wilson High School. Tyson always had a passion for cooking and creating new dishes. He was employed at Porter Creek from its opening until the time of his passing. Tyson loved being with his family and friends. He loved going to music festivals, collecting art prints and art pieces. Tyson loved going on scouting trips, which included at trip to Philmont. He also enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Tyson will be dearly missed by his mother, Lori (Mike) Morse; father, Derrick (Andrea) Chaney; siblings, Danielle (Zac) Zimmerman, Dustin Chaney, Kris Jacobs, and Garrett Chaney; his grandmothers, Betty Erickson and Joan Chaney; aunts and uncles, Bill and Terry Toops, Dennis Chaney, Dana and Mike Larson, Denise and Richard Cashion, Ron and Jen Erickson, Todd and Lisa Wibstad, and Kristin Moeller; several dear cousins; and many friends. Tyson was met in Heaven by his grandfathers, Isom Chaney and Ronald Erickson; uncles, Douglas Chaney and Kelvin Moeller; and cousin, Jason Toops.

  7. Adam & Tyson had a mutual friend – Nick
    Burbank in high school. Tyson came over to our house a few times. He was polite (compared to Adam & Nick j/k) & had alot of different interests which made him easy to talk to.
    I am so sorry for your loss. Nick told
    me about Tyson today- as I was telling him the details of Adam’s Celebration of Life Service.

  11. I am sorry to hear of your loss. You have all been on my mind for days. The sorrow seems impossible to overcome, and at times it is. There is no magical cure or words I can offer, but I can offer my heart and my ears. You can call on me anytime for a shoulder to cry on or someone to talk to. I wish you the best for the worst of times. Remembering the good in Tyson is the best thing you can do. He has a wonderful family that raised him to be warm and kind. He is now looking out for you all from somewhere up above.

  16. I was Tyson’s 7th grade English teacher and later the librarian at South. One of my memories of Tyson was sitting with him in the library as he proudly talked to me about Philmont. He showed me pictures and talked about this terrific experience. I enjoyed visiting with Tyson in the South library. He had an infectious smile.

  22. I am very sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. Life is a precious gift, yet can be so short. God has promised to one day soon eliminate death forever, along with all sickness, pain and sorrow. (Rev.21:4) He has also promised to reunite us with our loved ones on a restored paradise earth. The Bible says he longs to do this. (John 5:28,29; Psalm 37:11,29; Job 14:14,15) I hope these scriptures will be of comfort to each of you and bring you peace during this very difficult time.

  29. So sorry to hear of your loss. I was a bus driver for Fargo schools and i remember Tyson as a student on my route when he was in middle school. I remember him as a young man who loved to have have fun and tease people, and most of all make people smile. I am sure he will be greatly missed by many people. I will be praying for your family.     Today, I brought up memories we shared to my students. Boy scouts, adolescents, and trying to navigate life with a teenager brain. You made me smile so much. I really miss you, man.
