Vickie L. Richard, 55, Fargo, ND died, Wednesday, September 03, 2008 in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Vickie L. Pulkrabek was the daughter of Leonard and Genevieve (Velcek) Pulkrabek was born March 25, 1953 in Glencoe, MN As a young girl her family moved to West Fargo, ND. She grew up there and graduated from West Fargo High School in 1971. Vickie then attended Dakota Business College in Fargo. Vickie married Gerald Richard on Oct. 14, 1972 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in West Fargo, ND. The couple made their home in Horace, ND. Vickie purchased the Bressler?s Ice Cream Store in West Acres in 1984 and operated the business until 1997. Vickie and her husband Gerald purchased Metro Plumbing in Fargo in 1998. The couple also purchased homes and remodeled them. Vickie was a member of St. Benedict?s Catholic Church. She was recently elected to the board of Quality Service Contractors. She is survived by her husband: Gerald; children: Christen Richard Eide MD. (Geir) Portland, OR, Zoe Richard, at home, Jason Richard, Fargo, ND, and Ben Richard (Emily) West Fargo, ND; two granddaughters: Sophie and Reese Richard. Her parents: Jenny and Leonard Pulkrabek, West Fargo, ND, three sisters: Sue Averson (Dean), Horace, ND, Wendy Matheson (Robb) Moorhead, MN, Valerie Kellen (Chris) Moorhead, MN; two brothers: Randy Pulkrabek (Laurie) West Fargo, ND and Al Pulkrabek, Hutchinson, MN. Visitation: Friday 5:00 until 7:00.m. followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.at Boulger Funeral Home. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6th in St. Benedict?s Catholic Church, Wild Rice, ND Burial: St. Benedict?s Cemetery, Wild Rice, ND
