Virgiline Eleanor McGinnis, 85, of Fargo, passed away at home on Saturday, July 6, 2013 under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.  Virgiline (Virgie) was born December 24, 1927 in Junction City, WI to Louis and Pearl (Barber) Harding and grew up in LaCrosse, WI.  She graduated from Aquinas High School and then the Harding School of Beauty.  She worked at the Deluxe Beauty Salon in LaCrosse and later married John J. McGinnis on August 17, 1948.  The couple moved to Fargo in 1970.  She was a lifelong homemaker and mother of seven, who will be forever grateful, for the sacrifices she made so they could all grow up to have satisfying productive lives.

Virgie is survived by five sons, John (Patricia) McGinnis, of Prior Lake, MN, Patrick McGinnis, of Byron, MN, Stephen McGinnis, of Oxbow, ND, Joseph (Carmela) McGinnis, of Liberty Lake, WA, and Thomas McGinnis, of Peoria, IL; one daughter, Kathleen (Randy) Deschene, of Moorhead, MN; a son-in-law, Kelly Burke, of Vashon, WA; eighteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; a daughter, Joanne; her mother, Pearl; her father, Louis, her step-father, Joseph Morley; a brother, Gene Harding and his wife Jane; and a niece, Patricia Fuchsteiner.
