Vivian Steedsman

Vivian Steedsman, 80, Fargo, died Thursday, August 7, 2003, in Villa Maria, Fargo. Vivian Jane Murrey was born in Fargo, ND, on October 12, 1922, the daughter of W.W. and Stella (Hatlestad) Murrey. She grew up here, attended school in Fargo and graduated from Fargo Central High School. Vivian Murrey married Dean Steedsman in Moorhead, MN. They lived in Fargo and traveled all over the U.S. and settled in Bellevue, OH, where they lived for 20 years. Mr. Steedsman died in 1987. Vivian came to Fargo in 1994 to live with her daughter, Claudia Halverson. She is survived by her daughter, Claudia Halverson; special nephew, Ron (Karen) Hanusch, Pelican Rapids, MN; special great neices, Joni (Paul) Hexum, Madison, WI, and Julie (Brad) Homan, Minneapolis, MN; nieces and nephews, Dick (Kathy) Swanson, Bill Murrey, Beth Walstad, Kim Willard, and Kevin Moldenhauer; and special friends, Gene (Diane) Walton, Felton, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Lillian Hanusch, Doris Swanson, and Marcella Moldenhauer; and brothers, Woodrow Murrey and Pat Murrey. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 14, at 10 a.m. in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. Ashes will be buried in the Bellevue Cemetery, Bellevue, OH.
