William (Bill) Koslowske, 77, 442 Birch Lane, Moorhead, Minnesota died at home on Tuesday, October 21, 2003. William Adolph Koslowske was born June 30, 1926 in Zap, North Dakota. He attended grade school in Waco, Nebraska and graduated from high school in Winfield, Kansas at St. John?s Academy. He served in the Navy during World War II. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri receiving a Bachelor?s Degree in Chemical Engineering. He was a civil engineer for the Army Corps of Engineers for over 25 years. Bill married Mary Sargent Schupmann on December 7, 1963 in Junction City, Kansas. They moved to Lincoln, Kansas where their daughter Jo Anna was born. The family lived in various places until they settled in Moline, Illinois. Shortly after his retirement in 1984, they moved to Grand Island, Nebraska where Jo Anna and her family lived. Mary and Bill moved to Fargo in May of this year. He is survived by his wife Mary; stepchildren: Marie (Steve) Decker, Hannibal, Missouri; Philip (Sara) Schupmann, Aurora, Illinois; Zoe Khatibi, Chicago, Illinois; Jill Burk, Green Bay, Wisconsin; Jane (James) Hewitt, Moorhead, Minnesota; daughter: Jo Anna (Dave) Nuncio, Grand Island, Nebraska; 27 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother: Anna Charlotte Jilg Koslowske, Holyoke, Colorado and siblings: Adelle (Rick) Ricketts, Denver, Colorado; Lois (Verlin) Bruns, Chappell, Nebraska; Fred (Pat) Koslowske, Montrose, Colorado; Karel Koslowske, Denver, Colorado; Betsy (Steve) Triplette, Holyoke, Colorado; and John (Cris) Koslowske, Las Vegas, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his father: George Herman Koslowske. The funeral will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2003 at 10:00 am in Ascension Evangelical Lutheran Church, Moorhead, Minnesota. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday evening at Boulger Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at a later date at Mt. Olive Cemetery, rural Detroit Lakes area. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Christ Lutheran School, Grand Island, Nebraska or Hospice of the Red River Valley.
