William Shahane passed away on April 25, at Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, ND William Patrick Shahane was born to John P Shahane and Fern (Renwick) Shahane September 29, 1950 in Grand Forks, ND He attended school in Cavalier, ND He moved to Grand Forks in 1985 where he lived in his own apartment and volunteered for non profit agencies. He received wonderful services and care from Development Homes, Inc. and Anne Carlsen for many years until moving to Luther Memorial Home November 2018. He loved the staff at LMH and received wonderful care by their exceptional staff. He was an avid Twins fan as well as any UND sports. His mother and father are deceased. He is survived by his brother John B (Judith)Shahane of St. Charles, MO and his sister Rita (Jay) Hannesson of Fargo, ND, his nephews John P(Malenda) Shahane, Kansas City, Mo,Michael (Hayley)Hannesson, Fargo, ND, nieces Kristin (James) Schieffer and Katherine (Brad) Sweeney, St. Louis, Mo, great nieces Mia, Hannah, Annemarie and great nephews Henry and Jack.

Mark and I were just planning a trip to Bismarck in May and I was so looking forward to popping in to see you. I’m heartbroken you won’t be there but have so many happy memories to reflect on.   7. So sad to come across this. I worked when Bill was at Anne Carlsen and he was just the sweetest and sure loved to give out those compliments. May he find eternal rest and comfort, prayers for the family.

  8. I remember my brother Dan taking me over to visit cousin Billy in Grand Forks.
    Very sorry he had to leave. My heartfelt condolences to Rita and John.
