Wilma A. Heuer, 82, Fargo passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Essentia Health, Fargo. Wilma was born August 20, 1934 on the family farm near Durbin, North Dakota to Emil and Clara (Miller) Miller. She attended elementary school in Durbin, North Dakota before graduating from Central Cass High School in 1951. She went on to graduate from Interstate Business College. On February 14, 1954, Valentine’s Day, she married Carl Heuer and they made their home in Davenport. To this Union, two children were born, Paul of Fargo and Lori Ann who died of a heart condition on March 18, 1961 (eight months of age). Carl passed away on February 25, 2004. Wilma taught Sunday school for several years. She worked as an Avon Salesrepresentative as well as being a Salesclerk for deLendrecies. She was a lifetime member of Canaan Moravian Church where she was baptized, confirmed and married. She was also active in the women’s fellowship. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and always grew gladiola’s. Without any previous experience, she became an excellent cook and helped out for years feeding hired men at their farmstead. She also spent winters in Arizona for many years. She was active in starting the class reunion for the Casselton Class of 51’. She is survived by her son, Paul (special friend Jeanette), Fargo; nephew, Lowell (Sue) Buchholz, Cedar Rapids, IA and family; niece, DeeAnn (Al) Vrem, Monticello, MN; great-nephew, Joshua Vrem, Monticello, MN; sister-in-law, Ruby Forbes, Arvada, CO, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, infant daughter, Lori Ann, sister DeLores (Les) Buchholz, parents, Emil and Clara Miller and brother-in-law, Don Forbes. Funeral Service: 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Canaan Moravian Church, rural Davenport, North Dakota with visitation starting at 12:00 P.M. Burial: Canaan Moravian Church Cemetery, rural Davenport, North Dakota.

  9. Paul, Aunt Wilma was like a second mom to me. She always had a way of making me laugh. She loved you very much. I remember all the Christmas Eve’s we spent together as a family.
