Winfred Sletten

Winfred "Fred" Sletten, age 75, of Mayville, North Dakota, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2004, at the Lutheran Memorial Home in Mayville. Winfred was born on July 25, 1929, the son on Lewis and Amanda (Norgaard) Sletten, near Hatton, North Dakota. He grew up in this area and attended school. He lived with his family in this area for many years before moving to Coon Rapids, Minnesota. In 2002, Fred moved to the Nursing Home in Halstad, Minnesota, where he lived prior to entering the nursing home in Mayville. Winfred is survived by his sisters, Dorothy Overmoen of Hillsboro, North Dakota; Marian Domier of Mayville, North Dakota; Marcella Flatin of Klemme, Iowa; his brothers, Marvin Sletten of Mason City, Iowa; Elroy Sletten of Greenwood, Wisconsin; Franklin Sletten of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Knute Sletten of Dallas, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
