Yvonne Jeanne Brunelle, 96, passed away Wednesday September 19, 2018 at Kinder Care Nursing Home, West Fargo. Yvonne was born May 2, 1922 to Matthew and Ludovica Trottier in Horace, ND. Yvonne graduated from high school from the St. Joseph Academy in St. Benedict, ND. She married Leon Brunelle September 24, 1945 in Horace, near where they farmed until retiring in 1982. She was very involved in the family farm helping out wherever she could. Leon and Yvonne were inseparable, they were seldom apart. Her hobbies included, playing the organ, sewing, gardening, and cooking. Yvonne loved spending time with her grandchildren and was very active in the church circle, church choir, and other church functions. Yvonne is survived by her children, Elaine Tschakert of Horace, ND, Ronald (Kathy) of Farmington, MN, Richard (Faye) of Fargo, ND, James (Brenda) of Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Shane, Shannon, Justin, Jesse, Nathan, Cody, Matthew, Elise, Ashley; and great grandchildren, Zoey and Harper. Yvonne preceded in death by her husband, Leon Brunelle; parents; and brother, Clarence.

  4. So sorry for your loss of Yvonne. I was a neighbor of your mom & dad a few miles from them when they lived on the farm. I used to baby sit for the older ones, Elaine, Ron & maybe the next one. Such a sweet & beautiful lady. My condolences. May she rest in peace. Sharon (Sauvageau) Fritz.

  5. I’m very sorry for the loss of your loved one. I worked at Edgewood Vista for quite some time; I regularly helped take care of Yvonne. She was so sweet and gentle. I enjoyed visiting with her. I’ll miss her and her slightly purple tinted hair.
