  5. Sandy Lake MBAlan, Bruce, Gale, Janel, and families, I was saddened to hear of your mother’s passing. Not only did I have a lot to live up to when I took her position at Laffen’s when she left for the sheriff’s office, but I made a friend in Yvonne – without realizing, Alan, that she was your mother until later. And to later learn, Janel, she was your mother – and I had known you for years. She was a fun person and I enjoyed my time spent with her. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

  6. Fargo ND
    Gale and Family,
So sorry for the loss of your Mom. Know that you have been and are in my thoughts and prayers…Warm Regards and Deepest Sympathies Kim Truhlicka

  7. Sammamish waI don’t know where to start. The beautiful smile? The easy laugh? The way she made me feel like I was important? The way she made me feel like I was a better person than I was? I don’t know. She did that and more for her children who who she raised with unfettered love and whom she fircely defended. It’s been many years since I last saw her, but I remember her clearly and happily as my friend and Ma.

  8. My deepest sympathy to the family during this most difficult time. May you always remember that God loves us, and that soon he will end all suffering and death will be no more John 3:16 Revelation 21:3, 4.

  9. Yvonne is still remembered and included in stories of the “old” days at the sheriff’s office. Yvonne shared her humor with everyone, her thoughtfulness, her mothering to some of us, her lifetime stories, proud stories about her children/ grandchildren/Johnnie, and her stubborn streak that came out once in awhile. We especially remember how Yvonne spoiled us with her carmel corn that she brought into the office in her huge yellow tupperware bowl, even after she retired! Yvonne, you are one of a kind, you will always be missed, always a part of our work family, loved by all!! Rest in peace, my dear friend!!!

  10. Fargo ND
“Dragon Lady” will be missed. Things sure got quiet when she retired from the Sheriff’s Office. LOL. She never failed to stop for visits and drop off goodies.
