Jeanne was such a wonderful person to be around. I worked with her everyday while she was at the Waterford. We had lots of laughs together and she loved talking about her girls. Her laugh and smile always made me feel at ease. My thoughts are with your family.

I am sorry to hear of Jean’s passing. She was a very dear friend and cousin of my mother, Bernice. When my mother was on the phone, it was usually catching up on the latest with Jeanne. I also had the good fortune of knowing Tops and Otto, Jeanne’s parents, while growing up in Fargo. I think it is quite coincidence that they both ended up raising their families in the same town.
Sorry word was late getting to me about Jeanne, but please accept my heartfelt condolences.

    Respectfully,
    Michael A. Grinney

    Dear Margaret, Jane, Barb

I wanted to send my sympathies. Jean was such a delight to take care of. She had such a dry sense of humor at times and her remarks were witty. She definitely got us a couple of times. She was a great little lady and someone that I will truly miss. Take care and always remember the good times.

    Dear Jane, Barb and Margaret,
I have such great memories of your mom. I am so sorry for your loss. She was a great lady, and was always so friendly and caring. She always made me feel at home when I was at your house in my high school years then in occasional conversations with her over the last 15 years, it was always a delight to visit with Jeanne and get caught up and hear how you were all doing.
I just thought of her the other day, in fact, when I was in Fargo visiting my folks for a couple of days. I drove by your old house on 3rd, and warm memories came to mind.
I will keep you in my prayers, and always think of Jeanne as a great mom.

I had the pleasure of working with, and getting to know, Jeanne during her time in the Twin Cities. I first met Jeanne in the fall of 1993. Since that time I have gotten married and had two children. In each of those life changing events, Jeanne was always there great advice, a wity remark, and a smile. Our family will miss her, and I will miss the phone calls when we would discuss our families, work and politics 🙂

My deepest sympathy to Jeanne’s family! I was an aide at rosewood that took care of Jeanne. She was a sweet lady and made it really hard not to fall in love with her. She will be greatly missed at Rosewood.

Jeanne was my favorite aunt! She always had a smile on her face and she loved kidding around with everyone, especially Don—-I’ve heard about a certain prank she pulled on him.

My mom was lucky to have Jeanne for a sister-in-law and my siblings and I were lucky to have her as an aunt. I will miss her.

My Mom and Dad were friends with Jeanne and her husband, Don. I am married to Dick Greving, whose brother John is married to Barb, one of Jeanne’s daughters. Because of the family connections, I was fortunate to spend many holidays and dinners with Jeanne. She was always so friendly and interested in hearing about what was going on in my life. She always had a smile on her face and I enjoyed our many conversations. Her daughter Barb, is one of the funniest and friendliest persons I have ever met. You are drawn to Barb as you would be drawn to Jeanne. I am sure Jeanne will live on through her 3 daughters. My parents are buried right next to the Ryan plot so I will say hi to Jeaane and Don as Barb says hi to my parents when she visits there.
