Margaret Forknell
Margaret Forknell, 75, of Fargo, ND passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on March 23, 2015. Margaret is survived by her sister, Chris; her three children, Sue, Bob, and Jonathan; and seven grandchildren, James, Rebecca, Matthew, Mikey, Jenna, Jesse, and Richard.
Margaret grew up in Wigston, Leicestershire in England, and at a young age was a wonderful pianist and head of her class. When her father died during World War II she moved to Melton Mowbray with her mother, Lena, who ran the local pub. After marrying and starting a family of her own, she moved from England to the United States in 1981. She lived in Louisiana for one year before relocating to Bismarck, ND in 1982. While in Bismarck, she ran her own electrolysis business for several years.
After she retired, Margaret moved to Fargo, ND where she enjoyed living in her beautiful home on the pond with the ducks, geese, and rabbits. Margaret enjoyed fishing, dining out with friends and family, visits to the casino, and spending time with a good book.
A prayer service will be held Friday, March 27, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Boulger Funeral Home with social to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates your donation in memoriam to 4luvofdog Rescue at PO Box 9283 Fargo, ND 58106-9283.

My heart is very heavy today, Margaret was my dear and wonderful friend for over 30 years. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
I was so sad to hear this. Margaret was my mother’s friend. A good friend. When Margaret moved to Fargo, she would frequently call my mom to see how she was doing. My mother has Alzheimer’s. Margaret will be missed. My condolences to the family.
So sorry to read about Margaret’s passing. I got to know Margaret when she lived in Bismarck and she was a fun-loving person and a delight to be around. I visited with her a couple of times on the phone after she moved to Fargo and she was so happy to be close to Johnathan and his Family. I am regretting that I never did make it to her new home for a visit. Condolences, thoughts and prayers with all of you.

I first met Margaret and her family about 1971 when we lived on Heatherside, Camberley and we had some memorable times together. Margaret was always there for me when I needed her. I missed her when she moved to America but we kept in touch frequently with news of both families. I know that she will be greatly missed. You are always in my thoughts Margaret R I P
Margaret was a good friend of my mothers, LaVonne Glasser, in Bismarck. They became acquainted through a mutual friend, Sybil Heyd, who has also passed. On behalf of my mother, I want to express her deepest sympathy and condolences to Margarets’ family…..my mom loved her long conversations with Margaret and knew how she so loved being in Fargo close to family. My mom will truly miss those wonderful conversations and Margarets’ friendship. Take care.

Margaret and my dad had a wonderful life together. After he passed, she moved to Fargo and a lovely home overlooking a pond. She really loved to look out on the water and the ducks and geese. Now winters were not her favorite especially when the wind was blowing, but she was happy there! I visited her last August and we were able to spend time together and talking and enjoying some wonderful food. Margaret liked my cooking and I certainly enjoyed cooking for her. I will miss her very much as we talked several times a week. I was looking forward to visiting in May or June again… She had a good life, was very loved and will be missed.

I was fortunate to have met Margaret in Bismarck and have her become a friend. Even though we both spoke “English” she opened a whole new world to a woman who was born and raised in North Dakota. I will miss her wonderfully wicked sense of humor.

Margaret had such a positive outlook on life. Her interactions with people always made you feel like you were special. I know the she will be greatly missed. With the exception of Jonathan I never had the privilege of meeting the rest of her family whom she often spoke of, my condolences.
