  1. Casselton ND
I got to know Mary through the times she was helping my mother-in-law Katherine. She always asked about my boys – genuinely cared about our family and glowed when talking about her family. May you find peace and comfort knowing she is in God’s home.

  2. Rosholt SDMary was like my “other” mom. I don’t think I ever called her Mary, it was always “MOM.” Her daughter Robin and I became friends right after high school and then shared an apartment together. There were many times Robin and I would end up at the VFW and Mom would try her hardest to talk some sense into us (she would give us her huge smile and laugh at us as we told her we had the world figured out) or she would sit down and join us for a few minutes. No matter when Robin and I were with her she always had a smile for us or had some words of wisdom. At the time Robin and I thought she had no clue, but I know right now, not only would Robin, but I would give anythng in the world to hear her wisdom again. Prayers and hugs to the Evanson family.

  3. Robin and families: What a sad day to read about the passing of Mary. She was a smiling, happy lady whenever I saw her. I remember her from way back when Annie and I worked at the Royal Table. Going to the VFW and seeing Mary in the restaurant and ALWAYS giving Rod and I bad time always brought smiles! She was a wonderful WOMAN and will be greatly missed my many. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Heaven just received another “special person!” We will miss your smiling face.

    Dear Family of Mary.
I knew Mary thru the associate program and she was always such an inspiration to me. She seemed to have unending energy to be of any help where needed.
I know she is happy now in the arms of our Savior.

  5. Rancho Mirage CaMary worked in our home for 17 years. My three daughters and I considered Mary a part of our family. As the girls were growing up, Mary made sure I know what they were up to, if she thought there might be a danger, but she also trusted their judgement, and let them just be kids! I know that Mary thought of my girls as her special charges as well. We were blessed to have had such a special relationship with a wonderful lady!

To Mary’s Family – I met Mary many years ago thru the VFW and she was such a nice person with a sweet smile for everyone. I hadn’t seen her for several years but you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely Ruthy Asmus

  7. Family of Mary – I am so sorry for your loss, Mary had such a kind spirit and will be missed – God has taken one of our best home!

  8. Arvada COEvanson family,
My deepest condolences to you all. Mary was a very special part of my childhood. We would see her every Tuesday morning. She was a bit of a confidant to me, as well as spy for my mom. She was a very strong and special woman. She holds a special place in my heart always.

    Blessings to you all,
    Jena Terry

  9. Boise IDI was saddened to hear of Mary’s passing. I got to know Mary through the Associate program. I always enjoyed running into her at events, as her smile was filled with warmth and love. I know she enjoyed serving others, and so was a great example for all us associates. Know that she will be missed by all of us.

I have not seen Mary for many years, but have such fond memories of her when she would come to my house to “dig me out’ several times a month…She also helped my sister in law, Phyllis, and she was a joy to have around…I hope that she didn’t have to suffer…We also both lost children and I remember when our Nancy died she wrote such a lovely note to me as I was living in Eden Prairie, MN
…Please know I am thinking of you all…She was so very proud of her family…God bless her memory….Patti Pratt

    Dear Family of Mary.
My thoughts and love are with you as you grieve the death of your very loving Mother. Mary was a special person who had a big heart and who would do anything for anyone. I so appreciated her whenever she would come to Presenation Center with her contagious smile. I know that many times the smile broke through the pain she was experiencing. I rejoice with all of you in the midst of your loss for Mary who is now being enfolded in the arms of her loving God to whom she was loyal unto death. May God give each of you the peace your Mother wants for you to have.
    Peace, S. Petronilla

  12. Mary was a much loved friend and Associate. She was in the first class of Associates I had the priviliege to accompany. She spent a great deal of her time with the Sisters and Associates and was always loving and caring and so willing to help. May she rest in peace and enjoy the beautiful face of God as she tends the heavenly flower gardens! May your family be deeply comforted by our loving God.
